Our Comenius project is an EU funded project and a part of the EU Lifelong Learning Programme. We have been participating with three other schools from Europe: Rigas 41 Vidusskola, Rigas, Latvia; Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Altrincham, U.K.; y, Struer Statesgymnasium, Struer, Denmark.
Over the past two years (2013 – 2015) we have had four meetings at the different schools (including I.E.S. Padre Manjón, Granada, Spain) to discuss the different topics related to the future decisions which our students will have to face after school and to plan for the handbook which you can see in the file below. Our project, “Today’s Teenagers are Tomorrow’s Europe”, has had to do with researching and compiling information concerning the future of our students who are about to graduate from their secondary schools. The project deals with many of the most important questions in a young person’s life: what to do after school is over, where and how to look for a job, different types of studies after secondary school, financial help to continue studying, living accomodations, healthy choices for eating, healthy lifestyles, etc. It also includes many films produced by the students themselves showing in a more practical and direct way how several young people have taken on some of the challenges which they have encontered in their different paths after finishing high school.
You can see the project’s handbook, which talks about the various topics researched and studied by the participants from the four schools, below. Part of the two DVDs produced by the four participating schools and the films produced by our students with the translation of the dialogues into Spanish of these also appear below.
